Montreux Country Club is a private golf facility located just outside of Reno, Nevada. Montreux is the former home of the PGA Tour’s Barracuda Championship, formerly known as the Reno-Tahoe Open. Montreux Country Club has an amazing variety of holes with an number of awe-inspiring tee shots. There are short, risk/reward holes combined with long monstrous challenges. But there are mountain views and vistas everywhere you look.

As you can see from my photo gallery, Montreux Country Club certainly beckons your camera to be at the ready at all times. It has a secluded feel, even though if you look closely along the way you will see some impressive homes and mansions hiding just off many of the fairways. I especially enjoyed the finishing stretch. After a long and challenging par 3 on #16, you are faced with a tee shot on #17 that you have to absorb a bit before trying to play. This par 4 has a huge drop down to a sliver of a fairway and an awesome green complex. You end your round with a true risk/reward par 5 that is reachable if you dare. A truly great and memorable round awaits your group if you are lucky enough to find a way to add Montreux Country Club to your itinerary.
